Richard is a native of Virginia and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1977. He received his law degree from the College of William and Mary Marshall - Wythe School of Law in 1983.
Richard spends 100% of his practice in litigation and is a member of the Virginia State Bar and North Carolina State Bar. He is a member of the Nursing Home Litigation Group, American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) and the Norfolk Portsmouth Bar Association. Richard enjoys squash, surfing, sailing and spending time with his family.
